Inability to clear file upload controls in Internet Explorer

If I accidently choose the wrong file in IE, I can not delete it manually out of the text field because: every time I click inside the text field the popup is coming up autmoatically. So it is not possible to place the cursor inside the field to delete text by pressing backspace...

This is actually a behavior in Microsoft browsers and there seems to have no method or process to remove this with using keyboard presses or mouse clicks. Unlike in Google Chrome where you can simply open the file selection prompt and click the escape button to remove the selected file.

A solution here is enabling the Reset button on the submit button of your form. By enabling this button, a clear form button will appear beside the submit button.

On a published form, this will clear the values entered on the fields, including the upload field.
