Encrypt Credit Card Number

We will soon collect credit card payments. My question is: after a registrant input her credit card number, does the encryption take place at Jotform or at Braintree? Does Jotform also keep & store credit card numbers?

    Thanks.

When form is encrypted, data that is entered by your users will be encrypted in the browser of the user filling out the form, and can’t be seen by anyone else at any time. Only you will be able to decrypt the data with your key.

More about encrypted forms you can find inside of this guides:

We do not store credit card information. Credit Card information entered in your form using any of our payment tools is processed directly by the payment processor, so this data is not managed by Jotform.

Hope this will help. Let us know if you need further assistance.
