How to retrieve a previous version of my form

    Hi

I did post this earlier but can't find it in forum so as its critical to our business i am reposting!

I have developed several email reports...using the email notification function so that I can reorder and re label the questions. I was editing one earlier today and somehow it disappeared (called notification 7 - i think).  I went into the revision history and picked a time earlier today to convert it to but I wasn't able to see the email notifications. When i went into the revised version there were no emails at all!  Yet several had been there for days.

Can you please revert the form back to what it was at 10am Brisbane, Australia time today???

    thanks

    Katie

    Hi Katie,

As far as I have checked, we do not pass any information regarding email notifications to the Revision History feature at all. I mean, the configurations you make on email notifications are not saved in your form's history. This is a deficiency on our side and we are really sorry for the inconvenience that is caused by this.

So, now that we know revision history is not the way to make the form has its notification settings back I need to let our developer team know about this issue. I am now escalating a bug ticket for this problem to be further investigated. You will be notified as soon as it is resolved.

Please accept our apology. Thank you for reporting it.

Do contact us again if you need any further assistance.

    Hey Katie,

I talked this concern of yours with our developers. As my colleague Owen said, the revision system is not logging changes regarding email settings at this time. Due to that we cannot recover your lost notification email settings by reverting your form to an older revision.

I know it is more of a bug than a missing feature, we being not logging the email settings. So I directed this situation to our CTO as a feature-request/bug-ticket.

Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience that you have experienced.

If there is anything else we can do for you, please do let us know.

    Hi

just as an update it has also removed all of my conditions.. of which there were hundreds! I am trying to revert to a couple of days ago... fortunately I did line the form 4 or 5 days ago.

If the conditions were removed after reverting the form, you may also revert the form again to the reverted version again. As I check the form revision history, it seems that you have already reverted the form to the required earlier working version.

Let us know if you need any further assistance. We will be happy to assist.  We will be happy to assist.

It seems to always revert to the latest version which has everything lost.  When I try to revert to a couple of days ago it say it has but then when it reopens its still on the current version which has lost all conditions, all emails and all design...and probably some content.

I have given up and gone to the cloned version from 5 days ago but I am very keen to know how this can be prevented from happening again.

    Hello Katie,

For this case as I could not think of any solution to have a back-up on your forms, we can only wait for the response from the developer assigned. We'll let you know once we get to know any information from our developer.

Thanks for your patience and we apologize for this inconvenience.
