Expiration date examples in Braintree payment fields

I'd like to be able to set expiration date examples in my payment fields, or in the field labels. (MM and YY)

Guests commonly enter a 4 digit year causing a failed payment. (While they appreciate the security of the form not remembering their credit card info, they get annoyed by having to enter it again.)

The month field requires 2 digits (ex. 03 for March) and the year field 4 digits (ex. 2019) regarding Jotform's integration payment mechanism for Braintree. 

In other words, it requires 2 digits for month and 4 for a year. If you use 1 for a month, that should, however, work properly as well (without zero).
