Form data on spreadsheet but no email confirmation?

We generally rely on an email coming from Jotform to give us submitted information and compare that daily to jotform spreadsheet data. 

Our last 4 submissions were on the spreadsheet but had no email confirmation. Additionally, in times past on average 1-2 % of submissions would make it to the spreadsheet but not come through via email. (thus why we compare emails to spreadsheet data)

Is this the nature of form submissions or is there something that can be done to resolve this problem?
