How can I set an available number of options in the configurable list widget?Asked by josuaeugster on January 22, 2017 at 12:32 PM
I want to build a form with configurable list. I add the widget "configurable list" but it is not exactly what I'm looking for. I have a lot of people and some cars. Everybody should fill out the form with his name and choose witch car. Probably the "Auerehuus Bus" has 14 places. When a person fill out the form with his name in the list, the next person should see the name who is already in this bus and how many places are free. When 14 Person fill there name in the Auerehuus bus, the form should show the names, but not more than 14 Person.
The second thing is, when someone want to drive with his one car, he should open a "new list" with the number of his free places in the car. Then the same thing like above with the names of the registered person should shown when the next person want to register.
Hopefully it is possible and you understand my inquiry.
The configurable list will allow you to capture more than one record in the same field, but it will not allow you to set a max number of selections the field can be filled out.
What you could do is to add on of the widgets below:
They will allow you to set a number of available items.
To show the options already submitted you could use a report, reports allow you to select which fields will be displayed so you can get only certain fields and embed the report in that section in your form.
Here's a guide with more info about reports: How-To-Create-Form-Reports-in-JotForm
Regarding to your second requirement, unfortunately, using the widgets suggested above will not allow your users to add items, we have a widget that allows users to enter options and be accessible by other users, but it display the options as a drop down and will not allow to set a number available.

We could also open a feature request so this might be implemented in the future, let us know and we will be glad to proceed.
