Why Braintree charged me a transaction fee?

Last week I did a test payment (the first test) with Braintree. I just noticed that they deducted 6.63% from the credit card payment of $8.00. I learned from JotForm that Braintree was fee free if the volumn is under $50,000.00. I wonder if you know anything about this fee that I was charged.

I'm afraid that Fees are something you have to check with Braintree since all payments and related information is going to them directly. I found this article that you can check, with all fees included: https://www.braintreepayments.com/braintree-pricing

I assume that you saw that information in this blog https://www.jotform.com/blog/180-Announcing-JotForm-s-Integration-with-Braintree-for-Payment-Forms. But that was announcement made in that time, so I presume that Braintree did some changes from then. Since that blog post is from 2015.
