I have 5 separate forms. Each uses the User Contributed Dropdown.
Is it possible to keep the entries in the User Contributed Dropdown in sync?
So if I add an Option to the User Contributed Dropdown in FORM 1 it updates the Options in the other 4 forms.
If not, it would be a useful addition.
Thanks
Robert

I'm afraid this is not possible, and due to technical way that the User Contributed Dropdown widget is built, this is unfortunately not likely to be implemented.
Each User Contributed Dropdown widget on any form will have its own database of user submitted entries. Much like each form sends submissions to its own submissions page, so does each User Contributed Dropdown widget collect its submitted options in a separate place.
Thank you for your understanding, and if there is anything else we can help you with, please let us know.

Hi
I understand what you mean. No problem.
How about being able to import Options from a CSV to the widget?

That option does not exist at this time, however you can easily copy/paste an entire column of options you want to add from a CSV file into the widget - the options are added to the widget as a list, so simply newline will be enough to separate the list of options you are trying to add into the widget.
For example, you can simply copy/paste a column of values from a CSV, such as this:
Adam
Ben
Chris
Donald
Edgar
Finn,
GeorgeAnd upon pasting it into the widget's configuration screen, all of them would be added to the widget:
In a similar way, you can copy this list of values from a configuration wizard of the widget in one of your forms, and paste it inside the widget on your other forms.
If I have misunderstood what you were asking about and you were thinking of something different, please describe your intended workflow and we'll be happy to help, or forward a feature request to our developers if it is feasible to get implemented.
Thank you.

I agree that a copy and paste would work but there could be different added options in each Dropdown in each form.
What would be neat would be to have an export feature from the Dropdown widdget. You could then export all the options from each form add them to Excel and use Excel to remove duplicates then Import the result to each Dropdown widget. Then they would all be updated and the same.
Just a thought but making things easier is what computers are all about.

oecc,
If you are referring to the feature to import and export the options of a User contributed dropdown widget, unfortunately, there is no update yet in this regard. You may check the other thread https://www.jotform.com/answers/1047828 which we have sent as a feature request to our backend team for the status.
Thank you!
