I have noticed in a couple of places a reference to using Dropbox Integration to store uploaded files "instead". The word instead seems to imply that the uploaded files will not be stored on Jotform but instead be stored in your Dropbox folder. Thus they would not count against your upload space limit. Would you please give some clarity to this issue?

What happen is that files are saved on your jotform account first before it gets forwarded to dropbox. So it still consumes space. However, you can delete the submissions on JotForm site and you will still have those files on your Dropbox and you will gain the space back from your JotForm uploads limit.
Hope that clear things up.
