create text field in order form

When I create a product I am not able to put a text field in the product so the customer can put the image file name of the image they want to purchase prints for - How do I put a text text box in there so the customer can put the file number of the image

Do you mean you want to add a textbox field for each product that will serve as the container of the description or filename of the product selected by your user? Unfortunately, it is not currently possible.

My suggestion is that you add a textbox outside of your payment field. That way, the input of the user will be captured properly on submission and it will have separate column in you submissions page.
