Somehow my account email, email@example.com is on your bounce list. Something was probably going on with the host when you tried to send an email, but all is well now. Is there a way to reinstate it?
I get a warning each time I log in about my email being on the bounce list and asks me to change my email, but I don't want to.

There are several reasons why your email address is bouncing but usually, the reason is email service provider.
An email address usually gets added to the bounce list if the recipient's inbox is full, the mail server was unavailable at the time that the email was being sent, or if the email server is rejecting the email due to suspected spam.
If your e-mail address is in bounce list, you should remove it from it in order to receive notifications. You can follow this user guide to remove your e-mail address from the bounce list.
