If I am expecting 200 people to fill out my form in one day, will I need to upgrade my API?

I got this email while my form was being used and I realize that it disabled my Quantity Gift Registry, which was a huge problem for me. I am telling people to stop using the form for now. When I reopen, I am expecting 200 people to fill out the form in one day. I am assuming that I will need to upgrade my API. Can you please tell me what I should to to accommodate this number of responses?

    Hello eringinsburg,

Please note that bronze subscription plan allows you 10000 API calls per day. It depends how many time users reloads the form and how many API call are made. I believe for 200 submissions, 10000 API call should be sufficient but how many users will access your form?

For now, I have gone ahead and reset your API counters. Your form and Quantity Gift Registry widgets should work as expected. Do get back to us if the issue persists.

    Thank you!

This has happened again, I have received an email noting that I have reached my API limit. There are not many users using my form right now, which makes me concerned that when the form is resent for people to fill out on Wednesday, I will get another notice about reaching the limit as soon as there is a lot of traffic. This is extremely inconvenient, as the classes that I am having people sign up for have firm limits on participation. I cannot monitor the form and manually stop submissions if the API runs out again. I ran into a lot of trouble when it happened on Monday night.

I would like confirmation that for 200 submissions, the API limit will not be reached. Based on what has happened just today, with only a few submissions, I think I need to upgrade. Can you please confirm what plan will cover 200 submissions.

This is the form. It has a lot of Quantity Gift Registry widgets. I would assume that  is the problem.

    Hi,

I examined your form and your usage so far, and I can see that you have around 30 Gift Registry widgets.

With the upgrade you performed (to the Gold plan) you do have now 100 000 API calls limit per day, so with a simple calculation we can see that, in order to reach this limit, you would need to open/view this form more than 3 300 times.

Considering that you plan on receiving 200 submissions for a day, each submitter would need to refresh or view or reload the form around 16 times in order to cause the overall API calls limit to reach 100 000.

As you can see I would not be able to offer a confirmation that 200 submissions wouldn't trigger the limit as it depends on the form views/submissions, but I can say it is very unlikely that each of your form viewers and submitters would need to use the form 16 times just to send one submission.

I hope this helps. Please get back to us if you have more questions or need further assistance. Thank you.
