I am using JotForm 4.0
Please answer this question based on that format so I can find the tools you may refer to.
I have a series of questions based on three check box options of scores 1, 2, or 3.
Is there a way to total all the selections for the entire form?
Please be clear and simple to follow instructions using JotForm 4.0.
Thank you.

Yes, it is indeed possible to get a total of all the selections made on your check boxes, first what you would need to do is to add calculation values to your check boxes by clicking on the properties icon and going to the surveying tab:
The values should be entered like this:
Just as reference, but based in the new builder, you could take a look on this guide about assigning calculation values: https://www.jotform.com/help/301-How-to-Assign-Calculation-Value
You need to do this with all your check boxes involved in the total you will calculate.
The next step will be to add the form calculation widget, you need to first click on "Add Form Element" button:
Go to the widgets tab and search for calculation, drag and drop it on your form:
You will get the widget's wizard as soon as you add it, there you need to add the needed fields and perform your calculation, here's a screen-cast as reference:
As reference you may take a look on this guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/259-How-to-Perform-Form-Calculation-Using-a-Widget
It has screenshots from the v3 builder, but there's the basic info to perform calculations in your form.
Hope this helps.
