Name and Address fields labels show up inside visible < i > < /i > tags in preview and live modesAsked by WorldLearning on February 06, 2017 at 03:10 PM
I just noticed that the HTML formatting on my form isn't working. When I attempt to edit the form, it appears to be fine, however when I open the form the HTML formatting commands are present. How do I fix this? Our form is a two part form with the first part found here: https://www.jotform.com/WorldLearning/UGRAD-Host-Institution-Application, and the second part here: https://form.jotform.com/62725612237151.
I'm not sure how long our form has appeared this way, though I imagine it began with the updates JotForm instituted at the beginning of the year. Our form is an application for our partners, and it is extremely unprofessional to distribute in this condition.
Thank you for your help.
Hi Kedryn, thank you for contacting us.
I was able to confirm the problem you described, both on your form and on a clone that I created: https://form.jotform.com/70366398786979
I am escalating this issue so that our second level team can inspect it. You will be notified of any action via this ticket.
Apologies for the inconvenience.
This is fixed now. But do not get me wrong when I say it is fixed, since we do not permit HTML scripts on labels due to security concerns. The fix is regarding the stripping down the un-rendered HTML tags.
On another note, you can always stylize your form texts with our CSS editor. Please do let me know if I can help you with CSS and I would gladly help,
Thanks for your reply. I just opened our form and found that the issue still exists. Since you do not allow HTML scripts on labels, does that mean I need to manually go back through my entire form to edit each label that I initially used HTML scripts for?
Hmmm looks like this needs more work, sorry. Need to talk this again with the developers.
Logically you shouldn't be going, all through your forms and form fields and sub-labels ... If you would be so kind as to give me aprox. 14-16 hours so we can come up with a more logical solution for this with our developers?
I will inform you as soon as I can,
We've fixed the HTML tag issue in sub labels. I've checked in on one your forms, it working as expected now.
Thank you for contacting us.
