Could not properly resize the image in the PDF Designer

Asked by lavenderleigh on February 10, 2017 at 04:15 PM

When I resize and format my PDF how I want it to look and hit preview some fields are missing. Images are not shrinking. We have been resizing for hours and your form builder does NOT show what is on the builder.

Which fields are not shown inside of your PDF report? I have checked and Auto Hide empty fields option is unchecked which means that all fields should be shown.

I have create PDF report of your latest submission and as far as I can see all fields are shown inside of PDF report. Also image looks correctly on my end.

Have you created actual PDF report. Can you please tell us the names of the fields that are missing from PDF report.

In case that you have removed them while customizing your report, they will not be shown.

Let us know if you need further assistance.

I think we figured out the missing fields. We had to revert our form and re-do it and I think it was related to showing empty fields as well. It seemed to show up in some downloads of the PDF (testing) and other times it did not. Right now we are trying to resize the logo image a the top of the PDF. I did have a logo and it was twice the size of the PDF and I couldn't resize it. I deleted that photo field and created another one linking it to a logo on my website thinking I could use this and resize it on JotForm. Although this is a smaller image natively I still cannot resize it within JotForm. I also can't center it.

Thanks for reporting this, Leigh. We have existing bug tickets about this and we were able to reproduce the problem. It's just a bit hard to resize the images and they do not shrink on the preview.

We have added your thread to the list so you will receive updates once this is fixed.

Our apologies for the inconveniences caused.

I am also having a very hard time with the PDF submissions in jotform.  All of a sudden, fields will be missing in the PDF submission, and I make sure that "Auto Hide Empty Fields" is unchecked.  I don't delete the fields, they just become missing on their own.  I have spent hours trying to figure out what happened, then reverting all PDFs of the contracts, only to reformat them and have other fields suddenly become missing.  What is going on?  This is beyond frustrating, and I am just about to cancel my subscription because of all of the bugs and how much time I have spent reformatting issues that have cropped up on their own.-Leigh           Lavender Leigh Photography        Ph: 724-433-7682      leigh@lavenderleighphotography.com      www.lavenderleighphotography.com

Our apologies for the inconveniences caused.

Perhaps the fields are also missing in your edited PDF report that's why they do not appear in the actual PDF? Note that on edited PDF, whatever fields displayed on the PDF Design are the only ones included on the actual PDF.

I would highly recommend you to reset your PDF report by deleting the PDF Design in your form. This should revert the layout into the default style where there are no problems with the fields and images for now.

    Here's how:

    1. Go to your My Forms page

    2. Select the form you want to delete its PDF Design

    3. Then click the Reports button from the top menu then the delete button.

    Thank you!
