i have been looking for a membership program for a small car club with probably around 250 members or less at any one time, and had bookmarked the interlogy profile basic.  Would we be betrrr suited to the jotform , and how much would it be for this basic level?  I am also wanting to make it easier to manage for my successor than the very ,annual .htacess user format used now.  We want members to own their own passwords and manage that part.  I believe both products do that.

Thanks for your interest in our formbuilding services.

If you are planning on collecting usernames and passwords then ideally you would be much better to use our developers products that the jotform engine was originally built on but, do be advised that it does not include all of our current features that we provide here.

Our form service here on JotForm itself is mainly intended to collect information for form owners and is not really meant to function as any sort of administrative or profiling system.

Additionally The reason we do not allow the collection of passwords and usernames is because it is considered sensitive information that could be used elsewhere for the wrong reasons. Doing so would result in the suspension of your account for violating our terms of usage.

However, it is possible to send your form submission data to an external database as long as it doesn't do something to violate our terms of usage on our end. That in turn could be used outside of our platform if you have any programming knowledge to create an external login system such as with php and your external database.
