Unique ID: Ability to use current year as prefix.

I would add the request of adding the year as suffix (and also prefix), once this is really common.

Can you please give us more details on the "year" that you want to add the suffix and prefix? As far as I know, there is now prefix and suffix on the date field.

However, if you are referring to a different concern, do get us back.

This question has been moved from another thread.  That is why it is a little bit out of context.

My suggestion is to add a feature to the "Unique ID" widget. Currently you can add a prefix. Someone suggested adding a suffix in the other thread. I suggested that both (prefix and suffix) could be set to be the current year, once this is a very common way of generating IDs.

I can understand that you need to use the current year as prefix (or suffix when available) in the Unique ID widget.

Unfortunately this is not possible at the moment with this widget, but I will submit a feature request so this may be implemented, we will let you know as soon as we receive any update regarding this ticket.
