I'm not Russ, but I came here looking for answers because I have the same problem, and I'm really angry at how much of my time I've used to troubleshoot this when I see it's been a known issue for nearly a year. Grumble.
[ETA: In the original thread, it was clear from context that the MailChimp Integration is failing to include the group checkbox data. The signups appear in MC, but without the groups. The whole point of using the JotForm signup is to get those groups!]

Can you please share the form you are trying to integrate with MailChimp? Also, please share the link to the thread where the issue you are referring to is explained, in order to have a better understanding of the problem you are experiencing, or if you can describe the issue here, please do so.

Yes, sorry. It was moved here without context, which was not my decision...tried to make up for that with the ETA but I guess not!
The form is at: https://form.jotform.com/63499041134152
It contains an integrated sign up with MailChimp in which submitters can choose the genre (group) that interests them.
In testing (and testing, and testing), the emails make it to the MC list, but the group choices do not. I've tried all the options for integrating the form, as well as using (two) different APIs as suggested elsewhere in the forum. And of course, different browsers.
The thread this was moved from was another user's unresolved attempt to fix the same problem from almost a year ago. If there's some simple thing I'm doing incorrectly with the integration, I'd like to understand it. If it's never going to work, then I'd like to know that and quit wasting my time (and suggest you remove that option until it works reliably, because, seriously. None of us have this kind of spare time and if I did, I'd be doing something else with it).
PS OMG, seriously? How many verification dances/squares do I have to work through just because I stopped to think?

I would like you to confirm that you checked "Let subscribers select their group" under the Lists option to enable it.
Let us know know your feedback.

Yes, I checked "Let subscribers select their own group." And I saw the groups listed in both the integration process and on my form.

I just tried the integration, and I can confirm that the option to choose the group is not working. The contact will only appear in the group when it's preselected in the integration settings.
Let me forward this matter to our developers. If there are updates, you should know it through this thread.

Thank you. I'll look forward to that. As I said, if they're not going to fix it promptly, perhaps they should temporarily remove the option out of consideration for our time and effort.

You're welcome. I'm sorry, but it's up to our developers to remove the option or not. It's been there, working before. It's just a glitch, and I'm sure they'll fix it in a short period of time since many forms had the same settings. We'll keep you updated.

This should be fixed by now.
Please do the following to make sure it works as intended:
1. Remove the existing interest group field in your form
2. Edit your MailChimp integration
3. Click on 'Continue' button (this will add a new interest group field in your form)
4. Hit Finish
Hope this helps.

Thanks! I'll work on that as soon as I can!
