If we change our username will it change the URL for forms that were previously created?

    The old custom URL will not work anymore if you change your username. You need to re-create them with the new username. Here's a guide: How-to-Create-a-Custom-URL-of-a-Form.

    Here's an example of a custom URL:

    https://form.jotform.com/Jan/form-title

     

    However, if you did not create a custom URL before, then changing the username will not affect the URL of the forms. Here's an example of the form's direct link: 

    https://www.jotform.com/form/70614055119147

    Just so I don't screw up any current forms...it looks like they have all been reset to NOT include a custom URL. Now both the custom URL and the new URL work. Is it safe to change our username? Will both links continue to work? 

     

    Here is an example: 

    *This is how it appears as publish in the dropdown bar on the main page

    *This is how it appears as publish in the editor

    I am afraid to change the username if it means that the links will stop working for people who have the first link versus the second. Thoughts? If we change our username will it change the URL for forms that were previously created?     Yes, that is correct. The custom URL (https://form.jotform.com/dramatickat/70535534489969 ) link will no longer work if you change your username.

    You'll get an error message indicating that the page could not be found.

    The second link (https://form.jotform.com/70535534489969) will still work even after changing your username.

    Will the same thing happen to the links if we do a DNS redirect with the URLs?

    Are you saying that you want to redirect a domain URL to the custom URL? Unfortunately, it will not work because it will still be redirected to the custom URL.

    You can redirect the domain URL to the form's direct link instead.
