Can we set size requirements for image uploads in pixels?

    Hello All,

I really need the feature that Jotform itself uses to upload pics in this very support forum. It is a "Constrained Proportion" option for the upload field on forms. My new business will need customers to only be allowed to upload certain px X px size jpg's or the form won't submit.

I can constrain the kb size, but not the px X px size.  Can you add that??

This is possible with Uploadcare widget field added to the form.

Note, that you will need an account with https://uploadcare.com/ to be able to use that widget.

    Thank you.

Well Uploadcare doesn't have this feature as far as I could see. I simply need to set size conditions so that if the graphic is not the exact size I set, it won't let the upload proceed (with a warning message).

Just like the image I showed at the start. This is actually from Jotforms own website comment area. If you set dimensions, and someone tries to upload any other size, it won't allow it.

Can't this function be added to Jotforms Form Element "Upload File"?

The image upload tool on this support forum is not validating the image nor changing its actual size. The dimensions section is only responsible for displaying the image. While the Uploadcare widget should let you to set specific requirements for image files. What size/aspect ratio limit would you like to set for upload images?

If I read Uploadcare correctly, it will only squeeze down the image to what I set, if it was a larger image uploaded.

    In this particular project, I need only 160px X 104px dimensions & 0-30kb size.

I already have the 0-30kb size.

Yes, the Uploadcare widget will downscale or upscale selected area (by user) to the size that you have set in the widget settings. Unfortunately, we do not have an option where you can ask for the exact image size without cropping it.

We can add a feature request ticket to our system, but this is not likely that it can be implemented anytime soon. Our developers tend to implement the most requested features first.

Yes, I figured that. It is a feature that almost no form builders offer except one that is for Wordpress that I saw once. Too bad.

    Thanks,

    Hello Ian,

In understanding the need for this feature and as suggested by Mike, let me escalate a feature request for this to the development team. Unfortunately, I cannot guarantee if this can be implemented and even if subject for consideration when it can be implemented. But in any case if we have updates on this, we'll inform you right away.

    Thanks and warm regards.

    OK, Thanks Liyam.

It is actually quite important for a large upcoming business venture that we are launching in July. It would save having to manually check thousands of submissions at our end every month.

Customers will be strictly told to only upload set dimensions, but you know how people are sometimes ;)
