    Prepopulated fields

    Asked by ebizz on December 30, 2010 at 07:04 PM
    Hi,
    First of all : these questions aren't urgent, so take your time and answer it next week if this suits you better.
    Q1 : Is Prepopulation of fields possible for all types of fields, including the hidden field type ?
    Q2 : Prepopulating a field that consists of only 1 word, is no problem, i.e. if a text box field is labeled "name" the url "http://www.jotform.com/form/3622258287?name=abc " will work, but it won't work on the field labeled "First name". So, what should be the syntax to use for such fields labeled with multiple words ?
    Thanks and Best Regards,
    Wishing you and your team a pleasant, healthy & successful 2011.

    The solution is to look at the source code of the web page and then search for name="q on the source code.

    Another possible solution is to install "Web Developer" extension on Firefox and choose "Forms" -> "Display Form Details".

    Here is the field names for this particular form:

    q3_firstName3=First+name&q4_familyName4=Family+name&q5_email=Email&q6_yourAur=Your+AUR+agreement&

    q28_agreementType=Company&q7_idCard=&q8_proofOf=&q26_companyRegistration26=&q30_freeDocument=&
