Is there a way to save the filled form and continue later?

Also, another source of crabbiness...the form does not save, right? So if they let it sit too long or lose internet they lose their work?  Is there a way to save as they go?

You can use Save and Continue later option https://www.jotform.com/help/97-How-to-Save-Forms-and-Continue-Later. That way your users can fill the form and if they leave it for any reason (but they don't submit) they can come back and continue with filling it.
