I need to create an assessment that has 8 sections and I need for the user of the assessment to be able to enter scores for each section then have a total score at the end.
More specifically, each of the 8 sections in the assessment has 5 statements. The user gives each statement a rating from 1-5 then sees what their score for each section is.
At the end they can also see what their overall score out of 40 is.
Is this something I can do in jotform?

In by 'section', you can make use of the page break or the collapsable field to create sections on your form. You can check the 'survey' field tools group for the prefer rating field you want.
For the total rating, you can use the reports out of submissions. The one thing that cannot done easily is having the immedate total rating/score on the form. You will have to make use of the reports for that and display it on the form.
You can also check for existing templates in the JotForm gallery that may exists already to same kind of assessment form you need.
Hope this help. Please inform us if you need futher assistance.

OK thanks, I'd need it to calculate the totals for each section as the user is completing each section so sounds like Jotform doesn't have the features I need for this particular assessment form. Thanks anyway.

Can the report be immediately sent automatically to them when they finish?
