Why is the name on my application the name of the first reference instead of the person applying for the job?

Whenever we receive a job application in our email, the name on the subject line is the name of the first reference for the applicant, not the applicant themselves.  Is there a way to fix this?  

I cloned your form to test it and the name entered in the first name field that appears in your form is what is used in the email subject:

The field ID's match as far as I can tell.
