I want to have another unique id as confirmation id. However, the prefix is not showing. Is there a reason why?

Could you please share on which of the forms are you trying to create another unique id? And what are the steps taken by you to achieve that?

I did a duplicate unique id, then update it as a confirmation id. It did not work.

I checked this issue and I was able to replicate it, the prefix of second Unique ID is not showing in submissions.
I will forward this thread to our backend team for further checking.
