I selected the email type in the form settings dropwdown menu as shown in the screenshot attached (Jotform2).
The main page on jotform setting give an error (Jotform1) and it seems forget my selection.
Can you help me please?

You might have modified or deleted a field from the form, which has broken the association of form field with the email Notification.
Please edit and associate the required email field.

Did you mean that always we edit a form field we need to reset the form settings?
Why the email settings should be disabled if we change a form field?
I cannot see the correlation.
Can you help me understand please?

After the email template is edited, any changes you make in your form like (add/edit & delete form fields) will not reflect in the notification email template, automatically. You will have to manually make the changes in your email template as well.
The best and easy way to solve this problem is to delete the existing email alert and add a new one. Please be noted that a new email alert will always have all the form fields in the template.

I suggest to keep the email settings separated from the form field.
A customer, like us, would like to change the form fields and keep the form settings.
I understand the limitation, I'll keep an eye on that.
