    Customize PDF Submission: background color on text not working.

    When customizing pdf responses, text box backgrounds don't seem to display properly: e.g. gray background results in a gray bar over the text.

     

    Also, is there a way to display uploaded images at a larger size and omit the filename? Regardless of settings, images are tiny and accompanied by a blue filename.

    Another problem, makes all text boxes have same value when save and re-open. This is an odd comedy of errors. Hopefully I'm doing something wrong!

    Hello John,

    For to increase the size of the image, you can simply click on the lower-right edge of the image placeholder of the PDF template when editing it

    But for your PDF template's case with the text boxes showing the same value, I recommend to reset your PDF template to start fresh. The same case may apply for the grey bar appearing on the top of the label

    But if after resetting and the problem persists, please let us know.

    Hello John,

    Since I could not replicate the problem on trying to reset the custom layout on my end, can we try resetting your PDF's custom layout on your form? I also noticed that your PDF is missing the placeholder for uploaded images.

    Yes, you may reset the custom layout. The image placeholder was removed in an attempt to export data and avoid the thumbnail / filename issue.

    We're now just copy/pasting manually as a workaround.

    Hello John,

    I have managed to stretch the image to contain the whole width and what is remaining at the bottom part of the page. Unfortunately there is no option to remove the file name below it. 

    For the bar that appeared when you changed the background of the label, I can't seem to replicate it anymore so I suppose it is a glitch on the PDF editor. If you need assistance on how to change your PDF layout further please let us know.

    Hello,

    Sorry, I'm using a different term. But as how I saw on the screenshot if I'm interpreting it correctly, the ones having the issues are part of the form questions. I've been used to name questions as question labels so I'm referring the same on the text box background which you are stating.

    But if you are referring to the answers, please let us know.

    No, text box. Not form questions, not form labels, text boxes. Customization of pdf allows insertion of text boxes. There is a bug in the background color generation of these text boxes. Trivial to replicate this error:

     

    Add a text box, add a background color: above images. Second is preview of pdf within jotform.

     

    If you don't want to address this bug, that's fine. I'm just letting you know of some of the bugs in case you're interested.
