How to transfer forms shared to my account to a folder on my account?

I sent in a question asking how to move forms from one folder to another and the answer I received cannot be followed.

I was told to clink the x in the upper right corner but I cannot find that anywhere. Do I edit the form? The form is in a Shared with You folder. Does that change anything?

I would really prefer to talk to someone rather than trying to follow their instructions. Is that possible?

    Thanks.

From what I understand the previous instructions that were given to you lead you into confusion and we would like to apologize about that. I also understand that you are looking to speak with someone over the phone, however, I'm afraid to say we do not have phone support. Please allow me to help you with your concern and I will be glad to get things resolved for you.

I found the thread you opened for the same request. And if I understand what I read correctly, you would like to have the forms in the folder that are shared with you transferred to a folder you created in your account (MyForms page).

If that is correct, unfortunately, it is not possible to have the forms that are ONLY shared with you transferred to any folder in your account. This is because the forms are still owned by its owner and are ONLY shared with you.

However, there are ways that you can do so you can pull this off.

First, ask the owner of the account that has the forms to make a request here in the support forum to transfer the forms from his account to your account. Make sure to tell the owner that he/she should be properly logged to his account before making the request. In the request, indicate the username of the recipient of the forms and provide all the titles, or much better the form ids, of the forms that he/she would like to transfer to your account.

Or second, share the folder you created in your account (where you would like the forms to be placed) to the owner of the forms.

Once you shared that one folder from your account, it will already appear on the account that owns the form under "Shared with you".

Then, you can ask the owner of the forms to transfer the forms from his account to your account by dragging it to the folder you shared with him/her.

He/She can also select multiple forms before dragging it to the folder that you shared.

He/She will then get the message shown below to confirm the change of ownership because such action cannot be undone.

I hope this helps. If you have any further questions or concerns regarding this, please feel free to contact us again anytime

    Thank you.

The person who created the folder shared with me is no longer a member of
our organization and does not have a login any more. If that is my only
alternative, I will have to create the form from scratch in my own folder.
    Thanks.

    Hello Kathy,

You can always Clone that form by using this guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/42-How-to-Clone-an-Existing-Form-from-a-URL if that works for you.

    Thank you!
