Calculations based on selection of multiple fields?

Asked by jbeltran on March 19, 2017 at 03:02 PM

Can this form that you are referring to: http://form.jotformpro.com/form/50834042022946 be done with 3 inputs? In other words, 3 different drop downs and depending on the selections the 3 outputs are calculated? (I already have the calculations for each possible scenario)?

    Thank you so much

If you need a calculation based on associated inputs you may try a Sliders with Calculated Result widget.

If you are looking for something else, please provide us with more information on your inquiry. Any examples would be appreciated.

Thank you for the quick turn around.

    I have a 3 different level pricing packages (Plan A, Plan B, Plan C).

I'd like to be able to display the price for each plan simultaneously depending on the users selection (Age, Marital Status, Gender). So if a user select for example: 35, Married, Male they will autmatically get a price for Plans A, B, and C.

Very similar to how this form works (but I would ask less questions): http://www.newmanlongtermcare.com/run-a-long-term-care-quote/?

Can this be achieved? So in a nutshell I would like 3 different fields displaying different answers but would use the same inputs selected by the user.

    Thank you so much.

Yes, you can, first you need to setup your products through native fields(Drop downs, radio buttons, check boxes), and assign them a value: https://www.jotform.com/help/301-How-to-Assign-Calculation-Value

    Then perform the calculation: https://www.jotform.com/help/259-How-to-Perform-Form-Calculation-Using-a-Widget

Once your products are setup, you can apply conditions to show them based on previous users answers or selections: https://www.jotform.com/help/316-How-to-Show-or-Hide-Fields-Base-on-User-s-Answer

Also, as a last step, if you need to pass the total to a payment field, here is how: https://www.jotform.com/help/275-How-to-Pass-a-Calculation-to-a-Payment-Field
