Why am I getting repeated submissions on forms?

    This has happened to me with several different submissions.  Today alone I received 20+ resubmissions from a submission from yesterday.  like 15-20 this morning around 8 am and another 9 or so just now (6:30pm).  This is annoying because it's going to my email and creating spam as well as the excessive notifications.  Now I'll need to go in and delete the duplicate submissions again.

    This is not the first time this has happened.  Is there any way I can prevent this?

    I would suggest you to add captcha field to the form to avoid duplicate and spam submissions.

    I can do that, but I don't think this person is sitting g on the other end hitting submit repeatedly. Will adding the captcha fix it if that's the case?

    Please note that my colleague Ian suggested adding a captcha field because it's not always the case of a person hitting submit repeatedly, sometimes multiple submissions happen accidentally.

    Just to give you one example: when your browser is set to re-open your previous tabs when it starts, and one of those tabs is a thank you page of a form you submitted, that could easily result in a second submission, a third.. and so on.

    Having a captcha field would prevent accidental submissions like that, because it requires attention in order to submit again.

    It does, thank you.  I'm sorry if I was "short" in my original post or my response.  It seems to happen on all of my forms, so I'll just add the captcha to them all.  Thank you for your help.  I really do appreciate it!  - It just gets frustrating getting 75 emails/notifications from one form submission :).
