I seem to be unable to upload any file - invalid extension?

Asked by metlife on June 26, 2012 at 08:19 AM

I have created my 1st form and added a control to allow the user to upload a file, eg image.jpg, but a message displays stating prevBtnSml.png has invalid extension. Only pdf, jpg, gif, doc, docx, png are allowed.

After this, the control becomes unusable so that another file does not upload.

I am using IE8 as the browser to create and preview my form and have checked the help pages to find out how to add a file upload control.

25 Jun 2012: Now that I have changed the allowed filetypes to "*", a file will upload. Perhaps there is a filter syntax issue?

That's weird. Sorry but I wasn't able to replicate the issue. I have created a new form and did some test and I'm able to upload multiple files. By default it is set to receive 'pdf, doc, docx, xls, csv, txt, rtf, html, zip, mp3, wma, mpg, flv, avi, jpg, jpeg, png, gif' file types. Uploading any of which should not be an issue.

I have checked your form and it's currently set to '*', by that you should be able upload different file types. I am able to upload multiple files / multiple file types from your form using IE8 and IE9.
