    The total amount on payment form not carried to PayPal

    I have set a default tick in the postage check box on my payment form, and it shows the correct total on the JotForm. But when this is carried through to PayPal, the postage amount does not show up and people are not paying for postage.

    This was done as part of a recent work around that you helped with.

    We are very sorry for the inconveniences caused.

    As far as I can see, you have found a work around with Shipping and handling option on a PayPal Payment Page.

    If this is not something that you can use, please try Abajan's solution from this thread.

    I have, but I have a number of different forms and this is the only one that requires postage adding to it.  This is a very temporary workaround until you can help sort out the problem. As soon as possible I need to remove this from PayPal and make sure that only this form adds postage at the JotForm stage & not via PayPal workaround

    I have tried making the changes suggested in the above thread, but can't remember how to get the original tick in the box back again

    @Heckington

    It is highly likely that your customers intentionally unchecked the shipping option. Having the item (shipping) selected by default is not enough. We should find a way to prevent the user from deselecting it.

    Abajan's solution requires the form's modified source code to be embedded in an external webpage.

    However, if you do not want to perform such a task, there is an alternative solution demonstrated by this sample form:

    You can simply have this form cloned to your account, but if you prefer to keep your original form, hit me up so I can either apply the same solution to your original form, or lay down the steps on how I was able to make it work.

    Thanks – the sample form you have made is exactly what I want (shipping box always checked)

    BUT – when I import it as a Clone, the packing option is no longer checked

    If you could apply the same to my existing form, that would be really helpful, Thanks

    If you noticed, my sample form's URL contains a parameter which makes default selection of the shipping item possible ( ?pleaseIndicate[][id]=1007 ). More information on this link: https://www.jotform.com/help/71-Prepopulating-the-fields-to-your-JotForm-via-URL-parameters

    Anyway, I have applied the same trick (mentioned on my previous response) to your form. However, you must append parameters to your form's URL so that the shipping option is selected by default.

    This is the exact URL that you should use for your form:

    https://www.jotform.com/form/13310301270?pleaseIndicate[][id]=1007

    Please keep in mind to NOT delete the HTML free text I have added to your form as it contains the transparent overlay container that blocks the checkbox for the shipping option.
