Passing URL parameters: Parameters having commas in the URL are not working on the second form

Asked by sbufsaweb on March 21, 2017 at 11:53 AM

I have many radio button options that won't copy from one form to the next since they have commas. Is there a fix or workaround I can use for this?

Please share the two forms you are working with, so we can check further.

The sign up form contains a "Status" radio button field where the first two options have commas. Here is the link to the form: https://form.jotformpro.com/70796112559968

When you submit the form, you receive a confirmation email with a link to "Change My Meal Plan". This link will lead you to the change form and prepopulate your answers from the sign up form. All fields work with exception to radio button selections made that had a comma. The hard link to the change meal plan form is: https://form.jotformpro.com/70795290546970

I have checked the form and see that the link provided in the email seems to be correct with URLEncode. I have tested the cloned version of your form by changing the comma to a semi-colon and it seems to be working fine. If possible, could you try changing the comma to a semi-colon on the form and see if that works for you?

I'll investigate the issue further and see what best we can do in this regard. Thank you!

Yes, I used semicolons on the live form and that seems to work well, but I'd really like to be able to add commas for the pricing (ie.- $2,522 ...) and for those first two options on the Status field.

Let me know if you are able to find a solution. Thanks for your help!

Sorry for the delay. I have checked it further and see that the options with a comma are not getting selected on the second form. I am forwarding the issue to our backend team to take a look.

If we have any information in this regard, you'll be posted here.

    Thank you!

    Hi there,

We are really sorry for the delayed update.

This bug is now fixed. Commas in checkbox or radio options should now work with url parameters as expected.

    Kind regards,
