Can the form be live without having it connected to our website? Can I put it in my google docs?

Yes, you can use the stand alone version of the form. You just need to share the form's direct link to your users. Here's how to get the link:

In Form Builder V4, click the "Publish" button in the top menu. Go to the "Quick Share" section and you'll see the direct link. You can copy it and share it to your users.

Can I put it in my google docs? 

For security reasons, Google Docs does not allow iFrame. I suggest that you insert the form's direct link in Google Docs.
