Moving from encrypted to un-encrypted because of spreadsheet integration

    Hello,

Our jotform key is not rendering inside of Google spreadsheets, so we cannot view the actual submission data when the 3rd party integration automatically sends the data.

What is a workaround for this?

I tried to switch the form so that it is not encrypted, but then I still cannot view the data even though my desktop has the Jotform key uploaded and has been verified to view data.

What should we do if we want form data to be sent to Google spreadsheets automatically?

I had to turn encryption back on just so it recognized my jotform key and grant me access to the info.

    Thanks

Unfortunately there is no such workaround.

The encryption key will not work or will not be able to remove the encrypted data in the google spreadsheet. It was designed this way.

If you need the data to be without encryption in your google spreadsheet, you should remove first the encryption on the form (using the jotform key).

Then trigger again google integration on the form. The submission data in google spreadsheet should be now without encryption.

I have split your post to 2 separate thread since they were about 2 different issue.

We will resolve the 2nd issue here https://www.jotform.com/answers/1101973

    Hello,

I've tried removing the encryption from the Jotforms but my browser is still showing the encryption symbol next to the submit button.

Plus, I removed the encryption from the form, then removed the integration with Google spreadsheets, and tried to re-authenticate Google Spreadsheets after encryption was removed, and I still cannot view the submission data in Google Spreadsheet.

    What should I do?

I cloned your form and I was able to replicate the Encryption symbol problem. But the submissions weren't encrypted. Could you please let us know are the submissions that you're receiving from this form, after you turned off the Encryption, encrypted or not? Also, you're saying that from this form you're receiving submissions to Spreadsheet encrypted even though you turned off the Encryption.

Please confirm since I wasn't able to replicate those issues.

    We'll wait for your response.

    Thank you!

    Hi there,

It seems there may be a miscommunication. I am trying to view previously submitted form data using the spreadsheet integration. These submissions occurred when the form was indeed encrypted.

    Is this not possible?

    Thanks

If the submissions were encrypted and you used google spreadsheet integration, the submission data in your google spreadsheet will also be encrypted. You will not be able to view the data.

If the submission were not encrypted and you used google spreadsheet integration, you should be able to view the submission data in your google sheet.

As I mentioned previously, you need to remove first the form encryption and then use google spreadsheet integration. This steps will allow you to view data in the google spreadsheet.
