V4: Passing field value to a text field of same form is not working.

    I am having an issue passing the values from several fields of a form to a textarea of same form, using the {field_name} parameters. Values are not being picked up, but rather the plain text {field_name} continues to be displayed. This method was working fine for weeks now, it's something that just started happening. Is is some sort of bug or other issue on your side?

    UPDATE: I actually have 2 textarea fields, I'm showing one of them based on a condition in another field (simple radio button). Weirdly for 1 condition the fieldvalues are displayed properly, but not for the second option.

    RESOLVED.

    I had special characters in some of the field names that I think were messing up either the conditions logic or the parameters being passed (or both). As soon as I removed those special characters, problem resolved.

    I believe you have introduced a bug to this feature in past few days. I created just a simple test form, passing parameters/fields to a text area and it is not working. See the form here: https://www.jotform.com/build/70904925344155

    Hello zdroba,

    I'm sorry for the trouble caused to you. 

    I did test this and I am able to replicate the issue you are having. The value of textbox and textarea fields are not passed to text field of same form. This issue seems to occur only when you edit your form in V4 editor.

    I am reporting it to our backend team. We will get back to you as soon as we have any update form them. For now, I would suggest you to please edit your form in older V3 editor and that should solve your problem.
