Iframe and Mobile

Hi, I've been having problems getting Business Catalyst to redirect to my mobile layout, and someone suggested (on an adobe help forum) that iframes could be the problem, that they 'prevent the site from recognizing it's on a mobile device'. Can anyone confirm this?
