    Do you verify signatures?

Asked by alison  on March 28, 2017 at 12:44 PM

Is there an option like with HelloSign where those signing get an email asking them to verify their email which makes their signature legal.

Hello Alison, we offer a variety of signature widgets and you can find them all by using "signature" as your search keyword on our Widgets Galleryhttps://widgets.jotform.com/search/signature

However, keep in mind that verification only applies if the 3rd party service offers it. I'll list all the widgets below and include related links to the respective platforms involved:

    1. Smooth Signature (NO VERIFICATION)

    2. E-Signature (NO VERIFICATION)

    3. Docusign (WITH VERIFICATION)

The 4 above are the most commonly used by many. And in case you have a followup question about its validity, I recommend you read the article I'm linking below. Here's a snippet:

    Legally Binding

E-signatures are legally binding on almost all countries and states, but we still recommend consulting with your lawyer.

JotForm records the IP address and time of the signature made so that also provides additional confirmation about the signer of the document.
