    Several Questions about JotForm

Asked by SocialVentureNetwork on June 29, 2012 at 03:48 PM

    Hi JotForm team,

We love your product and think it's great. I have a few questions:

    1) Is it possible to save our current JotForm as a draft so that when an applicant applies, he/she won't lose their work when a page accidentally closes? This would be great to capture our applicants.

    2) Is there a way to insert a CAPTCHA on our form?

    3) Would it be possible to have an automatic follow up email be sent to a person who starts our JotForm (i.e. if she doesn't complete the form in its entirety)? I know we would need their email address and might need them set up an account but I think this would be a way to still capture our prospects for Social Venture Network.

Feel free to respond to me at:

    Hello Sara!

Please find my answer below each question

"1) Is it possible to save our current JotForm as a draft so that when an applicant applies, he/she won't lose their work when a page accidentally closes? This would be great to capture our applicants."

Yes, that is possible, please check this guide in order to find more details

    2) Is there a way to insert a CAPTCHA on our form?

Yes, we have CAPTCHA and reCAPTCHA buttons available for our forms, please find it under the Power Tools menu, then you can set reCaptcha ON , if you will

    3) Would it be possible to have an automatic follow up email be sent to a person who starts our JotForm (i.e. if she doesn't complete the form in its entirety)? I know we would need their email address and might need them set up an account but I think this would be a way to still capture our prospects for Social Venture Network.

Yes, you would have to create an autoresponder, this step is also explained into the guide in answer number 1

Feel free to look for more assistance whenever you need it

    Cheers!

    Hi Jeanette,

I'm working to set this up for SVN, but am having trouble/need some clarification around one part of this.

So I've followed the guide and set up two forms, the main form with page breaks, but I would like for the applicant to be able to return to the last page they were on (let's say if they accidentally navigate away) via the link in their email generated by the first form.  Is this possible?

    first form: http://form.jotform.us/form/23348299077162

    main form: http://form.jotform.us/form/23245987965168

Thank you so much for your time.

    -Casey

    Hi Casey,

Sorry but your form user should navigate up to the last page along with their saved data (from 1 to 4 page since form always starts from page 1 when loaded on the browser), our form doesn't support "page tabs or simply jumping to the page where they left".

In order for your form user to received notification to their email cotaining the "session URL", you have to create a form autoresponder on your 1st form and paste the session URL there e.g. http://www.jotform.com/form/1111111111?session={email} as stated on the guide.

    Thanks!
