Do clone forms use same encryption key as the original document?

Asked by kycoeve on March 30, 2017 at 03:23 PM

I lost my original key for original form.  I duplicated form in hopes I would get new key.  Now someone has completed new form and I am unable to read the form because its asking me for a key rather than giving me a new one.

The thing is, every time you generate a new key, it will be different.

So if you were trying to create a new key to remove encryption of a previously encrypted already form, it will not work. The original form used a different key.

But if you cloned the form and specify that you have existing key, the old key will work for the new form.

You will need to find that old key to remove encryption of the original form.
