The widget works in the 2016 version of the registration form at   https://www.jotform.com/build/61166792432963

It does not work in the 2017 version of the registration form at   https://www.jotform.com/build/70867312255962.

Does it make a difference that there are 5 choices in the field being counted in the 2016 version and 4 choices in the field be counted for the 2017  version

    Thank you.

No, this should not make a difference if you there are 5 choices in the field in 2016 version and 4 choices in the field be counted for the 2017 version.

I cloned both forms 2016 version of registration form (https://www.jotform.com/61166792432963) and 2017 version of registration form(https://www.jotform.com/70867312255962). I noticed the difference between the two forms in their calculation widget. The version 2017 has parenthesis treated as a string, please see the images below:

    2017 version:

Please try making this as a number on the calculation widget so that the calculation will work on your form.

Let us know if you need further assistance.

Thanks, that worked. I thought I already changed those from strings before I submitted my question, but perhaps I forgot to hit "save"
