Total is not adding correctly

We have customers that are having difficulty submitting there forms.  The totals are not adding up correctly and it will not allow them to sign up for basketball camp or others without adding the Swim club.  This was an issue before and I following the instructions provided but it seems to be an issue again.  Furthermore.  I added the three payment options as directed for the swim club but when they scroll down it only shows two of the three options.

    Thank you

Are you working on this form http://www.jotform.us/form/50135412172139?

I have inspected that form and I saw that you are performing calculation with radio button, dropdown and checkbox fields, but you have not assigned calculation values to those fields.

Inside of this guide you can find how to assign calculation values:

    How to Assign Calculation Value

After you assign calculation values test your form to see if it is calculating correctly.

If it is still not calculating correctly, let us know.

If you are working on some other form, please provide us ID of that form.

Let us know if you need further assistance.

I have followed the steps provided and an not sure what I am doing incorrectly but it is still adding and extra 100.00 when people go to sign up.  We are not getting customers because of this.  Is there anything else I can do to correct this issue.  I was not the original person who set this up so I am not sure how this works and how to resolve it.  Please help!!

Also it was working fine until I got an email saying that we needed to upgrade our package.  I am not sure if it is something on jot's end because of the payment but I believe we are up to date and there should be not further issues

Would you mind guiding us how to replicate the problem? Like what options to select?

I don't think the upgrade is causing the problem. I'm sure it's the settings, but you have too many fields so letting us know how to replicate the problem would be a good start for us to troubleshoot the problem.

I am not sure what you mean by that.  It was adding up fine until we got a notice to upgrade.  I do not know where the problem lies other than I was told before it was in the Swim Club but followed the steps and it is still not totaling up correctly.  No matter what field the customer selects at the end when it totals it is adding and extra 100.00

We would like to apologize for any inconvenience this is causing you.

I have created a clone version of your form on my account so I can better inspect it.

I understand that you are trying to get the total of the selected option in 31 fields to a Form Calculation widget (Total).

However, I noticed that you have not set calculation values to those fields.

For drop-down fields, like the Membership Type field in your form, here's how you should set its calculation values.

And here's how for checkbox fields (Multiple Choice)

Total is not adding correctly Image 3 Screenshot 72

and radio button fields (Single Choice)

I have fixed the calculation values of the fields in the clone version of your form and it seems to be working properly after.

I hope this helps. If, in any case, you're still having issues or difficulties making your form work, please feel free to let us know and we will be glad to help you and make the necessary changes directly to your form with your permission.

    Thank you.

When I tried your clone form it would not let me continue unless I selected a swim club membership and not everyone will be wanted a swim club membership.  Also I followed your steps.  I placed a zero for swim club and changed all fields and added the 31 fields to the total.  On my it does not require me to buy a swim club membership but the total is still not coming up correctly.  Can someone please tell me what the problem is now.  I have been able to resolve most of the issues except for the total

I went through the form again to make sure I followed the instructions and I do not believe I am missing anything.  When I went to test it out it does require me to select something for swim club so I selected zero because not everyone has to sign up for swim club to join other programs. For example when I select zero for the swim club and try to sign up for morning camp session 1 which should be 100.00 when I hit submit the total shows me 1.001e+34.  Can someone please look at this again and tell me what else I can do to resolve this.  I need to get this corrected ASAP

Since you added a "0" option in the Membership Type drop-down field,

Total is not adding correctly Image 1 Screenshot 50

you need to add another "0" in its calculation values

Total is not adding correctly Image 2 Screenshot 61

as instructed in the description and in this guide, How-to-Assign-Calculation-Value

This is important when setting calculation values for a drop-down field.

    ———

With regards to the issue with getting the "Total", I was able to see what you described and I would like to apologize for there may be a misunderstanding because I see you added all the 31 fields but forgot to add everything in the form calculation widget wizard.

To get the correct total, you need to add all the 31 fields using the plus sign (+) from the calculation pad on the right.

I hope this solves the issue you're having. Otherwise, please do not hesitate to get back to us and we will be glad to assist you further.

    Thank you.

You have multiple calculation fields inside of your form, however two of them seems to be main calculation fields, Total and Grand Total. Which one is not calculating correctly?

I assume that it is Grand Total. I have inspected your form to 31 fields you have assigned calculation values.

Total field has all 31 fields included in calculation and based on my tests it is calculating correctly.

Grand Total field has 39 fields included inside of calculation. This means that some fields are added twice inside of calculation and because of that you result is not correct.

For example there is 8 Swim Lessons fields included in calculation and there is only 6 Swim Lessons fields on your form.

I would suggest you to redo calculation for Grand total field. Remove all fields from calculation and add them again. Make sure to not add same field twice.

If Total field is calculating correctly on your end, you can pass calculation to your payment field from that field instead from Grand Total field.
