I know there's a "hidden box" option but it doesn't give me the flexibility as with other types of questions (pull-downs, checkboxes, date fields, etc)
Is there a way to create any type of question then mark it as "hidden" on a form?
If there isn't, I'd like to request that feature for sure. Thanks!

You can. By injecting CSS code, you can make fields/labels not display on the form. But I can tell you right away that since it is 'hidden', there is no way the form user will interact with it.
The only purpose of the hidden field is to have a field with a determined value on it, so that you can make use of it in the submissions and notifications.
Example, the date/time field can have a default value, then you make it hidden. When this form is submitted, you can make use of the date value in your notification as a date of submission tracking date field.
Here is a sample form . It uses this CSS to hde the date/time field
Hope this help. Please inform us if have further inquiry.

I have to add. You can check the submission notification of the sample form here

I don't want the user to interact with the hidden question. I want to use it for my own tracking purposes and need more flexibility with taht.
CSS code? Ick!!
Alright, I'll check out that option when I'm feeling like I wanna mess around with code. That'll be no time soon. :)
But if you ever make this easier (like adding a simple setting for each question to display or hide), do let me know.

You may check the following articles to find some more information about using injected CSS Code:
I have also created a feature request ticket to have the hidden option implemented. However, I can not say when or if this request will be processed by our Development Team.
We will update this thread once we get any news.
