Is there a possibility to start the Voice Recording widget automatically?

    Hello!

Thank you very much for this wonderful widget.

My question is: is there a possibility to manually modify the widget (through CSS or something) so that it would start automatically with each new question?

My survey consists of many questions (that are simply separate words) and the participants have just to read these words aloud. So for me it is also interesting to see the reaction time. If the recording started automatically when the question appeared on the screen, I could spot any delays or other effects.

Maybe this function already exists, but I haven't discovered it yet.

    Thank you!

Interesting idea to let the voice recorder begin recording automatically.

Unfortunately, To my current knowledge I don't quite think that this is possible due to the way the widget functions.

Normally CSS just controls the formatting and styling of your form on how it looks when viewed so I think the only way to get this to work that way would be to use the form's full source code with a custom scripting outside of jotform to force it to function like that perhaps.

However, please allow us some time to try to experiment with it a little bit just in case there is a way around it otherwise we'll go ahead and send this to our developers as a feature improvement request for an auto-start option.

wow, that would be fantastic, if you could update the widget and insert this option.

    Thank you very much!

So I've discussed this some with our Widget Team and have raised a feature improvement request for this on your behalf. If there's anything like this added you will be notified here at that time.

However, please note that I was informed this widget functions based on human user interactions as a requirement to approve and activate it therefore I cannot make any guarantees since doing so would be very controversial if the end-user didn't want it as far as privacy goes if anything.
