    Hi,

I've had someone new to the business create an encrypted form and has permanently deleted the key.

Is there anyway of retrieving the data  without the key?

    Kind regards

Unfortunately if you have lost/deleted your key, your data is also lost. There is no copy of the same key on our servers.

I would suggest you to turn OFF encryption of that form and any other form that was using same key, to prevent that your new submissions are also lost. After that you can turn it back ON and create new key.

More about encrypted forms you can find inside of this guide:

    Hi,

Is there no way I could even see it in the submissions area without downloading the responses?

    Kind regards

You cannot decript data on submission page of your form without the key.

Also downloading submission data as Excel/CSV or PDF is not available for Encrypted Forms.
