    Can't access forms via iPad?

Asked by fastlanetravel on July 05, 2012 at 01:55 PM
I can log in and I see the list of my forms, but can't click on edit, etc. Any plans to make our forms accessible via iPad?

I have the same problem. In fact, there are no options available. When using a laptop or desktop the user is required to double-click on the form name that has a badge showing the number of submissions. Only after double-clicking are we presented with the submissions.Such a mechanism is not available on an iPad.

Here is a reply of our colleague Neil from similar thread.

"Although forms created with our app are mobile-friendly, the JotForm web application itself isn't. JotForm builder is optimized to work in a full-sized "mouse & keyboard" computer, rather than a touchscreen mobile device.

In the future, we might release updates to make it mobile-friendly, but in the meantime, you'll have to use a computer to edit your forms."

I would like to add that the main reason of these problems on mobile devices - their browsers limitations. For example, form builder seems to be fine on a Blackberry Playbook tablet browser, but it is not on iPad browser. Another example is multimedia uploads, you can not upload something using regular form upload field via iPad, but this is something that Apple is going to fix with iOS 6.

You may try to use alternative browsers on mobile devices, but still we can not guarantee that form builder can run properly on them.

Thank you for using our services.
