Please restart the integration. It has stopped again.
Why does this keep happening. We want to rely on this for a live appliation but it regularly stops working.....

Please be noted that if you have made any changes to the integrated Spreadsheet would break the integration. Please check if there are any modifications made to the spreadsheet. In this case, you may be required to reintegrate the Google spreadsheet again on the form.

We didn't change the underlying sheet.
Would a Zapier Integration be more reliable than the google sheets integration?

Generally, the integration breaks when there are any modifications to the integrated spreadsheet. Otherwise, it should be working fine unless there are any issues with the integrated google account or API. You may also give a try using Zapier to integrate Google Spreadsheet. However, Zapier offers limited services on a free plan and you may be required to upgrade to paid plan based on your requirement.
