Is it possible to add an auto generated sequence number in "Configurable List" widget?

Asked by clearenergy on April 14, 2017 at 10:41 AM

Hi, I'm an asbestos surveyor and am creating a form to collect sample data info (location, description, severity etc). I would like to allocate an automatically generated, sequential sample number to each row this widget generates - is this possible? Also, the option to take a photo for each sample would be incredible.

    Thanks - Adam.

    Hello Adam,

Unfortunately it is currently not possible to add a auto-generated number in each row of configurable list widget. It is also not possible to add any file upload field in the widget.

How may rows you would like to add?

I would suggest you to please add regular form field and use conditions to duplicate form fields based on number of sample data you would like to collect.

Please take a look at the following demo form which I created for you and see if this is something what you want to achieve:  https://form.jotform.com/71034734525957

Feel free to clone this form for a closer look. The following guide should help you in form cloning:  https://www.jotform.com/help/42-How-to-Clone-an-Existing-Form-from-a-URL

Please note it is possible to further customize the above form to make it more compact by injecting custom css code. Do get back to us if you want any other changes and we will surely help you.

    Thank you!

I see the form actually has multiple "blocks" built in, thus limiting the number of samples.

Is there a way to have it dynamically duplicate the block of elements ?  I could use such a feature to group register an unknown maximum number of people to an event.  For example, graduation diner forms where a person could register details for as many family members and friends as they want ...
