Make submissions and notification text all UPPERCASE

    I don't understand why this problem has not been corrected. I looked through all of the past support questions and it has been going on for months now. I should not have to go in and change to www instead of form. However, I did that and it STILL did not correct the problem.

    I am making CSS changes. I need all my text CAPITALIZED!  I also need to be able to change the date to get rid of the time. I need a date ONLY!

    When will the "latency issue" be resolved? I cleared my cookies, my cache, refreshed my browser....everything suggested on this forum. Please advise. Thank you! See my form below. I actually need another one changed but it is very important so this is my "guinea pig" form.

    Although, to my knowledge, the occasional latency issue that's affecting forms distributed via our CDN is yet to be rectified, incorrect CSS is the source of the "guinea pig" form's problem. Substituting the following rule for what is currently injected will solve problem:

    input, textarea {
    text-transform: capitalize;
    }

    If you don't want the content of the Comments/Questions box affected, change the rule to the following:

    input {
    text-transform: capitalize;
    }

    Which of your forms are you having a problem changing the date field to show only the date? I wanted to see if I could change it for you but none of the five forms I checked contain such a field.

    Thanks for your reply.

    I just substituted the code your recommended and that did not change it either.

    The form that I really need changed is this one.

    In addition, the date I am referring to is the submission date. I just need the date without the time.

    Okay. I actually wanted ALL UPPERCASE so I did that for the code below and it works in "real time" while I am filling out the form. HOWEVER, IT does NOT submit that way and THAT IS WHAT I NEED. I really don't care what it looks like when someone is filling it out. I just care about how the info looks once it is submitted. Is there anything I can do?

    Toni,

    Unfortunately, CSS will not forward uppercase to the submissions database.

    However, you can use a javascript injections to achieve your goal.

    Example:

    1. Get you form source code.

    2. Paste that form source code to some text editor.

    3. Inject the following javascript to needed input fields.

    onblur="this.value = this.value.toUpperCase();"

    In the following example I have injected that javascript to text and email inputs.

    4. Save that updated form source code, and embed it to your webpage.

    If you need any further assistance, please let us know.

    I can't get this to work.

    Is there a way to make ALL TEXT UPPERCASE? I use Dreamweaver. So I took the code, copied it and then pasted into Dreamweaver in code mode and then went in and added the javascript. Then what? Just save the page?

    If I do get this to work does that mean that changes made to my form in Jotform will not be updated automatically like they are now?

    @Toni

    As Mike_T suggested this can work by using the source code embed of the form.

    Please check my test form here, applying the solution Mike_T provided.

    Another change you will have to do in your form is to remove the CSS you added

    input, textarea {

    text-transform: uppercase;

    }

    as this conflict with your form code.

    In my sample form, I applied the onblur code to Email and Company Name text field. You can right-click on the sample and view its source code. I put an html comment like this

    so you can easily look where the onblur code was injected in the source code embed.

    When submitted, you can check the resulting email notification here .

    Hope this help.

    Please inform us if further assistance is needed.

    Thanks.

    I'm just going to change the case in excel. This has taken way too much time. Thanks anyway.
