How do I add a £ sign in front of the answer in my calculated field within a data input table

    You have to do this by conditional logic. Add the symbol before the actual equation. Something like this:

    I have done this and the calculation stopped working

    You need to change the input type from Numeric to Currency or Textbox. It should work after. Unfortunately, this is the only way.
